We know that media, in all its forms, can capture young people’s attention and imagination like nothing else.
We enable 16-25 year olds to have their voices heard as filmmakers, bloggers, television presenters or newspaper columnists in their own right. We provide them with tools to convert their talent and passion into employable skills and the confidence to progress in further education.
Through incredible opportunities with world class partners that include ITV, ITN, YouTube and Community Channel we provide the channels for an entire generation’s voice to be heard, changing how we all see the world. What they say is up to them.
London360 is created by a team of diverse young Londoners aged 18-25 who are trained by media industry mentors in researching, presenting, filming, editing and compliance in order to produce their own show for London about London.
Breaking into News
Run in partnership with ITV News and ITN, encourages young people to conceive, write and create their own news story with help from the newsroom team.
The Vlogstar Challenge is powered by the Jack Petchey Foundation and Media Trust in partnership with YouTube and the Evening Standard. It is an exciting vlogging workshop and competition for 16-25 year olds. The Vlogstar Challenge is available to youth organisations and schools in London and Essex.
In 2016, Media Trust is transforming the hidden talent of 100 young people through media industry mentoring, employability training and masterclasses. The programme is running in Birmingham, London and Manchester and is open to 16-25 year olds.
