On Saturday 11 March 2017, 32 amazing teams from across the media industry joined us at Shoredtich Powerleague for the Media Industry World Cup 2017. Each had their eyes on the prize but of course on the day there could only be one winner. Congratulations to Content Media Corporation, who became our 2017 winners and took home the cup after a nail-biting final with Copenhagen Youth Project, our charity team sponsored by Rattling Stick. The shield competition was between BT Sport and AMV BBDO, with BT Sport triumphing.
We raised an incredible £28,900 and it is events such as this that allow us to continue our work, raising the voices of charities, communities and young people across the UK.
We’d like to thank our generous headline sponsor Rattling Stick, for everything they did to make the day possible - from their wonderful promotional film and clips to our first ever world cup draw. We’d also like to thank Kingston Smith who sponsored the water bottles this year and also the London Trophy Company for providing the world cup trophy, shield, medals and banners.
A huge thank you also goes to all of our amazing footballers. Teams included: A+E Networks, AMV BBDO, BT Sport, Channel 4, Content Media Corporation, Copenhagen Youth Project, Discovery, Endemol Shine UK, Facebook, Framestore, Fujitsu, Google, ITN, Kantar, Kingston Smith, Metropolis, Mindshare, Primesight, Rattling Stick, Sky News, Sky Media, Smoke & Mirrors, TBWA London, The Guardian, The Wagon TV, Thomson Reuters, Trinity Mirror, Turner, UKTV, Viacom and Vice.
