This seminar will help you analyse and interpret politics and power with expertise and tips from political insiders and surgery sessions to share experience and generate ideas. Aimed at organisations already involved in campaigning.
This event is jointly organised with NCVO's Campaigning Effectiveness Programme. - Outcomes:

- Hear from key campaigning groups about how they influenced change
The seminar will be run by Tess Kingham, MP for Gloucester from 1997 to 2001. She sat on the House of Commons Select Committees for International Development and Strategic Exports and was an officer of two All Party Groups. While in Parliament she achieved changes to UK fire safety legislation and, with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, successfully lobbied Government for a national CF screening programme for babies. Before becoming an MP, she held senior positions at Blue Cross, War on Want and Oxfam. She is also currently chairing the Certificate in Campaigning. With other speakers to be confirmed. - Location:
