Client – WRVS“WRVS is a national charity that is working to make Britain a great place to grow old. Through our 45,000 volunteers we support older people to be independent at home and active in their local community. We wanted more people to understand about our work — through the words of some of our volunteers and the older people we help. We wanted to reach out to people in England, Scotland and Wales to see if they could volunteer, donate or simply knew someone who they thought we could help. In particular we wanted the stories to give an introduction to WRVS for people finding us for the first time on the web or at a conference.
The Media Trust worked with our local managers to identify three powerful stories to convey what WRVS is about — both the practical difference we make but also how personal it is, the face to face service with our volunteers. In each of the stories it is that combination of conveying the right messages about what we do with the personal insight and emotion about how we do it that is exactly what I was after. On time.
