A luxury ski chalet provider is backing Ski 4 Cancer by giving the charity free accommodation in an Alpine resort.
Meribel Ski Chalets, which operates five luxury chalets in the French resort of Meribel, will be donating an undisclosed number of free weeks to the charity for the summer 2012 season.
Ski 4 Cancer, which provides alpine respite holidays for British families affected by cancer, will be sending people recovering from the disease to the mountain chalets.
Will Sussman, managing director of Meribel Ski Chalets, said: "The months of June and September are a quiet time of year for us. Although we always seem to fill our summer capacity with cycling enthusiasts and hill-walkers, we thought this year that we should support the work of Ski 4 Cancer which does some excellent work. I'm delighted that we are in a position to help."
Ski 4 Cancer trustee Chris Stone said: "Aside from the fact that the mountains are a magical place to visit in summer, there are direct health related benefits from being in an alpine environment.
"Meribel Ski Chalets offer some superb accommodation and catering and I'm sure our beneficiaries will benefit hugely from the generosity of Will and his team."
