Anglers will help to raise funds for a hospice by taking part in a 48-hour fishing competition.
Ten anglers have paid £30 entry fee to join the contest at Weston Moat Fisheries, in Weston-on-Trent, in aid of Treetops Hospice.
The angler who raises the most sponsorship before the event gets under way is given the first choice of peg.
The event has been organised by Daniel and Melanie Elyard, from Derby. Melanie's mother died from lung cancer in September 2010.
The group will be fishing from 6pm on April 27 until 6pm on April 29 with a £100 first prize donated by Weston Baits. Other prizes will also be presented. The group hopes to raise about £1,000 for Treetops, which provides palliative care for adults in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
