Race day to help air ambulance

Thursday 5th April 2012

Fundraisers for a life-saving charity will be on the lookout for the best dressed horse at a race meeting.

Representatives from East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) will be presenting the prize for the best turned out horse at Norfolk Racing Club's Race Day at Great Yarmouth Racecourse. The prize has been donated by the club.

Hannah Clay, area fundraising manager for EAAA, said: "The Norfolk Racing Club is such a fantastic supporter of the charity and I'm really looking forward to presenting the prize to the groom of the best dressed horse.

"I'm also looking forward to the East Anglian Air Ambulance Selling Handicap race which they've named after us. We can't thank the club enough for all it does for the charity each and every year.

"The day is always great fun, but we'll also be raising money in order to keep this vital service in the air. It's only through events like this and the support of the public that we can raise the £4.2million a year we need in order to keep our doctor and paramedic crews flying."

The Norfolk Racing Club Race Day takes place on April 10. Tickets cost £11 and are available on the gate.
