Top chefs to attend Butterfly Ball

Monday 23rd April 2012

Top celebrity chefs are joining a host of famous faces for an annual charity ball in support of disabled children.

Chefs including Gino D'acampo, Aldo Zilli, Tom Aikens, Marcus Wareing and Angela Hartnett will be attending Caudwell Children's Diamond Butterfly Ball.

They will be just some of the celebrities at the London event, which has been renamed this year to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

To mark the Jubilee, guests will also be tucking in to a British-themed menu with courses including lamb cutlets and shepherd's pie, British desserts, and an Arnold Bennett soufflé.

Trudi Beswick, chief executive for Caudwell Children, said: "Having such experts in their field dining at the event means the pressure is really on to impress.

"Each year we work hard to create the perfect experience for guests at the Butterfly Ball and we hope this year will be no exception.

"We will certainly be watching the table of chefs during the meal and hope they enjoy our Jubilee-inspired dishes."

It is hoped that this year's ball will raise millions for the charity after more than £1.75 million was raised at the 2011 event.

The ball is taking place at Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park on May 31.
