Link up saved money for equipment

Thursday 24th May 2012

A health charity has revealed that a five-year sponsorship deal with another good cause has helped it save more than £4,000.

Prestwich-based MedEquip4Kids received support from Life For A Life to cover the costs of designing and printing its supporters' newsletter three times a year.

It meant MedEquip4Kids was able to keep in touch with donors, supporters and families to promote the charity's work providing specialist medical equipment to hospitals in the North West.

The support has been valued at £4,910.

Ghazala Baig, chief executive of MedEquip4Kids, said: "On behalf of everyone involved with MedEquip4Kids I'd like to say a massive thank you to the committee of Life For A Life. The support we have received has made such a difference to our charity over the last few years, meaning that even more of the money we receive can be used to provide lifesaving equipment where it's needed most."

Life For A Life, based in Oldham, offers a commemoration service to bereaved families, planting memorial trees and installing memorial benches in woodland locations across the UK.

The newsletter deal has now come to an end and MedEquip4Kids is looking for another sponsor and a different way to work with Life For A Life.

To sponsor the MedEquip4Kids newsletter call Vicky Bunnage on 0161 7981600.
