Sausages to add to marathon funds

Wednesday 4th April 2012

Butcher Paul Woodyard is adding to funds raised through his London Marathon efforts by selling real ale sausages.

Paul, from Chelmsford, is running the April 22 race in aid of Kidney Research UK.

Paul said: "I found out about Kidney Research UK when my wife was diagnosed with kidney disease. By being part of this amazing event, I'm hoping to make a difference to the three million people in the UK who are also at risk from chronic kidney disease."

"I'm appealing for people to support me and help raise as much money as possible for Kidney Research UK."

Paul's butchers, Milbury Meats, on Watchouse Road, Chelmsford, will be making St George's real ale sausages from April 19 to 28, and will donate 50p to Kidney Research UK for every pound of sausages sold.

The real ale has been donated by Wibblers Brewery, in Mayland.
