Generous school children popped into their local hospice last week to hand over a kind-hearted donation.
The children, from the North London International School, raised £150 for their neighbours at North London Hospice.
A total of 21 students from the school, in Woodside Avenue, sold items to their friends and families with all proceeds going to the hospice, which cares for people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Teacher Sjoerd van den Bosch said: "North London Hospice is next door to our school so the children wanted to do something for them. One of our teachers also received care there last year so the services the hospice provides are well known to us.
"As part of the children's marketplace unit they brought products such as toys and sold them at school for a profit. They wanted to give something to the hospice that makes a difference to the local community."
A group of three students dropped into the hospice to present their cheque. Their efforts could help pay for one of the hospice's community nurses for half a day.
Natalie Gordon, community fundraiser for North London Hospice, said: "It's great to see the children of North London International supporting their local charity. They can truly be proud of what they have achieved.
"North London Hospice relies on donations and voluntary support to allow us to continue to provide much needed care to patients, their families and friends from Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, so we are very grateful for their wonderful support."
