Supporters of a dog rescue charity are being asked to brew up to help its latest fundraising appeal.
Jerry Green Dog Rescue, which has five centres across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, is encouraging fundraisers to stage coffee mornings throughout May to raise much-needed money for the charity.
To kick off Brew Up, Help A Pup month all five Jerry Green rescue centres will be offering coffee and a piece of cake to everyone who visits between 11am and 3pm on April 27.
The centres are located at Thirsk in North Yorkshire, Blidworth in Nottinghamshire, Gilberdyke in East Yorkshire, Broughton in North Lincolnshire and Algarkirk in Lincolnshire.
Catherine Foster, head of fundraising at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, said: "Everyone is welcome to host a coffee morning in May, from schools, societies and offices to friends and neighbours. It's a great opportunity for cafes and tea rooms too, many of whom have already told us they're taking part.
"With over 160 dogs in our care, it's surprising the difference a fundraising cuppa can really make."
The charity asks that supporters let it know about any planned events so it can help make them successful by sending out a fundraising pack.
Coffee specialists Stokes of Lincoln, which will be sponsoring the event, is staging a coffee morning at its Collection Cafe in Lincoln on April 27.
It will will also be offering discounts on sales of ground coffee as well as free loan of coffee machines for coffee mornings throughout May.
