Hundreds of drummers are to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest drum kit ensemble to raise aware of multiple sclerosis (MS).
Some 800 musicians will take part in Stick It To MS's (SITMS) bid to break their own current world record of 582, set at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham, in 2009.
The drummers, on full drum kits, have to play a beat in time with each other for five minutes.
The 2009 event raised £66,000 for The Multiple Sclerosis Society and won the accolade of MS Fundraiser Of The Year in 2010.
SITMS founders Rick and Karen Price will be looking to replicate that success at this year's world record-breaking attempt at EventCity in Manchester on July 15.
The event will be sponsored by Natal Drums (Marshall Amplification) and will feature various, yet-to-be-named celebrities and drummers from Natal's artist roster.
