Bennett play revived for charity

Monday 9th January 2012

Comedy masterpiece Green Forms is to be revived for the stage to raise funds to provide emotional support to cancer patients.

Alan Bennett's one-act comedy will be performed at London's Tabard Theatre in aid of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. The playwright has donated the rights for the performance to the charity.

The show will feature an all-star cast including former Blue Peter presenter and actress Janet Ellis, who is also a patron of Maggie's Centre London, and BBC Two Dead Ringers' actress Jan Ravens.

The one-hour performance, directed by Paul Clayton, surrounds office workers Doris and Doreen who are determined not to let any of the forms and paperwork around them create any extra work,

The show runs from January 24 to 28. Tickets cost £15 and are available from http://www.tabardweb.co.uk. Proceeds go to Maggie's.
