HorseWorld is celebrating after two of its rescue mares gave birth to the first foals of the year.
Megan and Lady, who were rescued just a few weeks ago, have given birth to a colt and filly respectively at the animal centre.
Megan's new arrival, born on April 14, was named Bentley following a Facebook competition held by the charity.
While Lady's foal, who was named Poppy, was born at the charity centre on April 24.
Staff at the centre, which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes horses, ponies, and donkeys, are now hoping that the foals will bond and are planning to put all four out in a field together.
Joanne Vaughan, manager of animal husbandry at HorseWorld, based in Whitchurch, near Bristol, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have these beautiful foals here. It is moments like this that make all the hard work and the difficult moments worthwhile."
