Students rally around coastline

Thursday 7th June 2012

Students will attempt to complete a circuit of the Cornish coastline in a series of relay legs using only man power.

The team from the University of Exeter, Cornwall campus, will jog, swim, cycle, walk, kayak and sail around the 230-mile coastline in an effort to raise funds for ShelterBox.

It is the second time students from the university have staged the Rally 4 ShelterBox, and last year the event raised £4,700 for the charity, which is based in Helston, in Cornwall.

Geography student Mark Nunn, the Rally 4 ShelterBox co-ordinator, said: "As a group of active Geography students, we all share a keen interest in natural disasters and other conflicts that occur around the world. We chose to support ShelterBox as they offer help to those affected and their speed of response is something that always amazes us."

The challenge takes place on June 16 and 17. To support Rally 4 ShelterBox visit http://www.justgiving.com/rally2012.
