Peter Weil
Prior
to joining Media Trust, Peter worked at Discovery Networks as the
General Manager of Animal Planet International where he commissioned
the internationally acclaimed Meerkat Manor among other series.
Before working at Discovery, Peter worked on Granada TV's pioneering
social action series, Reports Action, set up the BBC's first Youth
Programmes department in Northern Ireland, launched BBC-1's Open Air
and ran the BBC's Topical Features Department including the Community
Programmes Unit (Open Space, Video Diaries), That's Life!, Children In Need and the charity programme, Lifeline. Peter also
devised and edited Channel Four's People's Parliament and the schools
programme, First Edition with Jon Snow.
Creative Director
Jane Stephenson
Before
joining Media Trust Productions, Jane spent over 15 years working for
the BBC and Channel 4 directing films about elderly care, breast
cancer, drug and alcohol addiction and rape. As Creative Director, Jane
has produced IVCA award-winning films for the charities Addaction,
Being Breast Aware and Shelter. For Sky 1 she produced Abnormally Funny People which won a Superfest Award and for Channel Five the highly acclaimed series Mad for Arts and Mad for Poetry.
Head of Development
Sarah Robbie
Sarah has 19 years media industry experience. She began with the BBC as a research assistant and progressed to roles including camera assistant on dramas and documentaries and Production Manager/AP on BMW Business TV. Sarah then ran Salsa Rock Productions producing and directing sports related films for Nike, The ITF, Sports Coach UK and and broadcast programmes for BBC Choice and FIVE. She then moved to TwoFour Productions where she worked as a Producer/Director on a range of corporate films for VW, Audi, Unilever, Scottish Widows and charities such as the Woodland Trust and Home-start. Prior to joining Media Trust Productions in 2007 Sarah continued working within broadcast and corporate development as well as producing films for charities and major commercial organisations.
Sarah is your first point of contact for developing your films and muti-media productions.
Production Manager
Phillippa Hodge

Phillippa
has over 19 years experience working within the media industry. She
began her career as an AV Technician and progressed to Production
Manager running teams of over 60 people. Phillippa has wide-ranging
experience managing productions from a weekly worldwide art series to
studio, documentary, OB and live broadcast for the BBC, Discovery and
Channel 4.
Equipment and Duplication
Tom Leung
Tom
joined Media Trust Productions in January 2005 as a volunteer Technical
Assistant and now manages all CD Rom, DVD and VHS duplication including
authoring and package design. He is also responsible for managing
camera, sound and lighting kits.
Production Co-ordinator
Sophie Busch
Sophie graduated from Bournemouth University with a degree in TV and
Video Production. By spending two years making broadcast programmes for
Christian Aid, Sophie gained specialised knowledge of the charitable
sector. She is interested in developing programmes that work on
multi-media platforms and really enjoys the interesting range of
projects she can work on at the Media Trust.
Production Co-ordinator
Melanie Plowman
Melanie
began her media career as a Volunteer Researcher at Media Trust
Productions in November 2005. She now co-ordinates the day-to-day needs
of her projects through liaising with staff, crew, and clients and also
provides technical support to the edit suites. Melanie studied
Chemistry at the University of Leicester and recently managed the five
part series What can Science do for me?.
Production Secretary
Martha Taylor-Phillips
Martha
started at Media Trust in March 2007 as a Volunteer DVD / Duplication
Assistant. Having graduated from Goldsmiths University with a 2.1 in
Media and Communication, specialising in Animation, Martha is using her
time at Media Trust to widen her knowledge of the production process.
