Volunteer Filmmaking

Volunteer and make a film that'll change lives

Your professional filmmaking expertise can make a huge difference to small charities through Media Trust's Volunteer Filmmaking scheme.

Now in its sixth year, Volunteer Filmmaking is part funded by the Office for the Civil Society with the aim to support small community organisations and encourage volunteering in the film and television industry.

Jo Bartlett, Freelance Producer/Director and Volunteer Filmmaker says of her experience producing a film for charity Three Faiths Forum: 'Lots of people working in television would like to make films on more meaty issues, but those opportunities aren't always out there. Working on Volunteer Films you know you'll be working with interesting subjects, and making a film that makes a difference - that's great!'
