About Organisation:

Lambeth Play Association is a local charity. our core mission is to make Lambeth a better place for children's play. We currently support a range of play provisions across our borough including the voluntary sector adventure playgrounds as well as recently taking over the service provision for the council owned adventure playgrounds. We also have a number of other play based special projects such as our young carers project that takes children and young people who are considered the principal carer for their parents or siblings and gives them the opportunity to acccess play facilities for a few afternoons/week and our Streatham and Norwood families project, which aims to help people in the South Lambeth area set up and establish their own play based provisions for local young people. We also provide training, mentoring and work placements for young people entering this sector and have on occasion been asked to be consultants in setting up play associations and facilitating training for other boroughs.

Requirements:

We need help with our Streatham and Norwood families project. We would like to start to use social media (facebook/twitter) to promote this project in its target areas and once we have more people involved to use the social media as a platform to communicate with them and disseminate information that can potentially reach a wider audience. We would be grateful for advice on where/how to start. i am leading this project and unfortunately am not sure where to start.
