We carry out research into the cause, cure and symptom management of MS, fundraise, provide financial grants, provide support and information to anyone affected by MS, provide a freephone helpline (9am – 9pm Mon-Fri, 0808 800 8000) and offer services through our National Centre, regions, branches, day centres and nations to people affected by MS throughout the UK.
The Plymouth, Liskeards and Districts branch offers support and information to local people affected by MS.
Do you have good communication skills and are you able to communicate with a range of people? Are you looking to develop or build upon publicity skills?
As publicity officer you will develop links with the local media in the local area and represent the MS Society, identifying opportunities to gain media coverage in liaison with the branch chair. You will arrange publicity of the branches services, meetings and events and promote the work and views of the branch the MS Society locally.
Our National Centre Communications team are available to ensure that you are be aware of the MS Society's official views on specific issues and you can contact them when you are not sure how to answer or comment on an issue of if you need advice.
