 Understand the different types of women’s magazines, their audiences and priorities. This training event will help you approach the right people at the right titles, tailor your story to your audiences, and make a difference to your campaigns. You’ll understand who works at women’s magazines, the pitching process and how they find stories, as well as when to work with a freelancer.

This training event will give you the skills to pitch a story; match magazine target audiences to your charities target audiences and improve your approach to Women’s magazines.

Level: Develop specialist skills

At the end of the training you will be able to:

  • Find a suitable story, identify the right writer/editor, pitch your story/campaign
  • Understand the different types of women’s magazines, their audiences and what stories they need.
  • Match your stories to specific magazine target audiences
  • Learn how to use Women’s magazine’s to maximise media coverage for your organisation
