About the trainer:
Ruth Peacock has been a journalist for 30 years, mainly with the BBC, where her career included reporting for radio news as the religious affairs reporter and correspondent. She worked for many years for the General News Service in the BBC newsroom, supplying local radio and the nations with national and international news. She set up the GNS 'two way' service, where guests sit in a studio for two hours to be interviewed by 12 local and regional radio stations on news stories.
Ruth was deputy training manager for the BBC when they moved into their new offices in W1, plotting more than 20,000 training days, managing both leadership training and inductions for 15,000 staff. Since leaving the BBC, she has delivered media training and PR campaigns for a variety of charities. She has also led a strategic review for a global charity going through organizational change. Ruth has been a trustee for three charities and has worked as both a volunteer and trainer for the Media Trust, with media matching, bespoke training and CSR projects.
