Jane Stephenson
Executive Producer
Jane trained as a producer at the BBC then spent nearly 20 years working in the independent sector and at Channel 4. She joined Media Trust in 2003, producing award-winning films for a wide range of charities, voluntary sector organizations and corporates. For Sky 1 she produced ‘Abnormally Funny People’ and for Channel Five four highly acclaimed series of short films about the arts and mental health (Mad for Music, Art, Poetry and Dance).
Recent clients include The Foyer Federation, City of Sanctuary, ShelterBox, The School Food Trust, Hope and Homes for Children, The Venture Partnership Foundation and a range of high profile short films for ARK (Absolute Return for Kids).
Jane works with the WorldView Broadcast Media Scheme supporting emerging filmmakers producing short films about the developing world and has recently been a judge for Amnesty International’s Media Awards.
Alison Rooper
Executive Producer
Alison joined the Media Trust in 2010 and is an award winning executive producer and producer/director of factual television. She trained at ITV in historical documentaries and went on to series-produce several flagship BBC programmes in current affairs, science and documentaries.
Over the last few years Alison has executive produced several international TV films and produced and directed science documentaries for British and American broadcasters. At the Media Trust her clients have included The Prince's Trust, Cancer Research UK, Action Medical Research, The City Bridge Trust and WRVS.
Paul Harraby
Volunteer Research Assistant
Paul joined the team in January 2012 following freelance work in Abu Dhabi for a sports media company. He assists in the research stage of pre-production, and works closely with our Executive Producers.

Melanie Plowman
Productions Manager
Melanie began working at Media Trust in 2005 as a volunteer researcher/production assistant. Since then she has risen through the Creative Media department and now runs our award-winning and highly successful productions team. During her time at Media Trust she has successfully managed a diverse range of projects including 'What can Science do for me?' for Wellcome Trust, 'Mad for Music' for the Arts Council and Channel Five, and the series 'Spotting Cancer Early' for Cancer Research UK. As Productions Manager she is responsible for ensuring her team delivers high quality content on time and to budget.
Anika Chiaventone
Interim Production Coordinator
Anika started her career at Media Trust in August 2011 as a Volunteer Production Assistant and is now working as Production Coordinator. After completing a BA in Film and Broadcast Productions at London Metropolitan University in 2010 Anika gained some experience in the industry by working at an independent production company before joining the Media Trust. Anika is responsible for coordinating content from pre-production through to delivery, and has worked on a number of complex productions including location, studio, and international shoots.
Sarah Alun-Jones
Volunteer Production Assistant
Sarah joined the team in January 2011. Having studied French and Film at UCL, she worked as a runner at Icon Films after graduating and then travelled in Asia, working for a small NGO is Southern India. She will assist the production team with all levels of production.

Paul Griffiths
Technical Manager and Online Editor
Paul joined Media Trust in July 2011 and has been working in broadcast post production since 2005, having started his career as a DV lighting camera & sound operator. Paul was previously working as a freelance offline/online editor cutting a variety of programming from long-form documentaries for BBC World and BBC4 to short-form promotional videos. Paul has also worked as an edit support technician for clients such as BBC Factual & Learning, Darlow Smithson & McCann Erickson. Prior to this he worked as an editor and technician for Chart Show TV, who run fourteen music, kids and film channels on SKY & Virgin Media.
Samad Baksh
Volunteer Technical Assistant
Samad joined the team in January 2012, after working as a freelancer and graduating in 2010 studying Media whilst at London Metropolitan University. Samad helps out the post production team in a range of ways from helping out with technical issues in film editing and also camera kit assistance.
