Community Voices has helped disadvantaged and isolated communities find a voice through digital media.
 
Mentoring video

In the South West, Community Voices helped several diverse communities, providing tools and resources, awards and digital mentoring to empower them with confidence and skills to find their voice and make it heard. 

Have a look at these projects in detail:

  • The Farming Channel is building up an internet TV community of interest to isolated rural communities on the Dorset and Somerset border.
     
  • Unsane Rhapsody – a project in which a group worked with Soundart FM to make programmes about experiences of mental health.
 An Inspiring Voices award winner.
     
  • Awen Productions and Shallal Dance Theatre in Cornwall collaborated on a project in which people with learning disabilities used digital media. An Inspiring Voices award winner.
