Community Voices has helped disadvantaged and isolated communities find a voice through digital media.
 


In the South East, Community Voices helped many diverse communities, providing tools and resources, awards and digital mentoring to empower them with confidence and skills to find their voice and make it heard. 

Have a look at the projects:

• Carers and Volunteers in the New Forest started a community radio programme for this rural community.
  
  
• Residents in Care at the Chalfont Centre produced internet TV programmes to enhance communication at the centre.
  
  
• Voluntary and Community Action Chichester District enabled older people to use digital technology to improve communication and contact.
   
• BK-LUWO in Oxford is a group of women refugees and exiles who used digital media to share their history and culture.
   
• Radio Marmalade in Wokingham is an internet radio station run by people with disabilities.  An Inspiring Voices award winner.
   
• Shadowlight Artists in Oxfordshire is a small group of multimedia artists with learning disabilities who are developing their skills.  An Inspiring Voices awardwinner.
