Community Voices has helped disadvantaged and isolated communities find a voice through digital media. 


Meadow Well Residents


In the North East it has helped diverse communities, providing tools and resources, awards and digital mentoring to empower them with confidence and skills to find their voice and make it heard.

  • Meadow Well Residents Group in North Shields used digital media to record a history of the local community.
     
  • Our Voice Our Say.  In Sunderland people with learning disabilities created a user friendly interactive website. An Inspiring Voices award winner.
     
  • Justvisiting.com based in Gateshead is an online social network for hospital patients to connect with family and friends. An Inspiring Voices award winner.
     
  • Lesbilicious is an online magazine aimed at lesbian and bisexual women. It's based in Newcastle and won an Inspiring Voices award.
     
  • GAP Project run by Tyneside Cyrenians in Newcastle supports female sex workers and won an Inspiring Voices award.
