Project Coordinator
My role is to coordinate the Community Voices project, specifically managing the communications with stakeholders, the public and internally. I also support Kim whilst she’s out and about within local communities, and work along side Sam to help ensure that the grants application process runs smoothly.
Prior to joining Media Trust I worked for the e-mentoring charity The Brightside Trust. My role there was to help build projects that connected young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with a mentor who could help them to make an informed choice about their future, helping raise aspirations towards going to university and considering careers that they perhaps previously thought ‘weren’t for them’.
I started my career at Vodafone UK as a Network Management Systems Engineer, and I’ve also spent time volunteering aboard, working with a local community in Costa Rica and teaching English in Quito, Ecuador.
The communities I am part of are… Cricklewood (North London) where I live currently, and also York where my parents live.
My chosen form of communication is face to face – I like engaging with people, listening to what they have to say, understanding their issues and coming up with solutions (hopefully!).
When I communicate digitally, I prefer…. Email, blogging or Facebook…something where I can express myself.
