About International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is an opportunity to recognise the acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in history. While it is a time to celebrate, International Women’s Day also reminds us that there is still so much more we need to do if we are to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

The Media Trust promotes equality and diversity. We positively welcome applications from transgender individuals and charities working with the transgender community.
