Here are some of the highlights of our work from 2015-16:

Annual Review 2015-16 2000 charities and communities were provided with communications skills and resources
1000 young people received support through media projects including training, content production, career advice and mentoring
9 million Community Channel viewers – our highest ever viewership since the Channel launched
600 media industry volunteers gave their time as trainers, mentors speakers, film makers and advisors for the charities and communities we support
200 media companies provided donated resources and pro bono support

2013-2014

Here are some of the highlights of our work from 2013-14:

3823 charities and communities benefited from Media Trust support, which empowered and equipped them to have a louder voice and tell their own untold stories
6245 charity and community news stories were published or broadcast as a result of our unique communications and news distribution service
1383 delegates from 448 charities received media and communications training
400 young people received support through mentoring by media professionals or media training; increasing their skills and confidence
5.4 Community Channel viewers – our highest ever viewership since the Channel launched 15 years ago

 


2012-2013

2011-2012

2008-2009

Highlights include:

More than 3,600 charity professionals trained in marketing and communications skills through our training & events programme.

Community Newswire, our partnership with the Press Association, was used by over 2,000 organisations during the year, including 756 for the first time.

We made more than 750 'matches' between charitable organisations and volunteer media/communications experts, exceeding our target by over 15%.
