Become a Youth Mentor with Media Trust

Our Youth Mentoring initiative enables media professionals to share practical skills with disadvantaged 13-25 year olds working on media projects.

Youth Mentoring is part of a partnership between Media Trust and The Jack Petchey Foundation

We’re looking for media professionals based in London and Essex with skills in animation, DV camera operation, scriptwriting, directing, producing, editing, journalism, photography and radio production.

The amount of time you volunteer as a youth mentor is totally up to you and shaped around your availability. There's no need to commit until you find something that's right for you. Whatever time you can contribute, your expertise and experience will have a real impact.

Once you have signed up you can attend a free Youth Mentor training session to give you a greater understanding of what to expect and what is required.

Next training dates: Tuesday 3rd July and Tuesday September 4th

Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
