Role Purpose

Media Trust is the UK’s leading communications charity. We work with the media industry to empower charities and communities to have a voice and be heard. They, in turn, provide invaluable support to millions of individuals and communities.

We are at a very exciting turning point in our history, where we are aiming to make a step change in maximizing both philanthropic income and volunteering so that we can offer more services to more people. We have recently invested in fundraising to meet our ambitious targets for the period of 2012-2015. So, our Fundraising Team is relatively small and new. It currently includes a Fundraising Director, a Trusts & Statutory Manager, a Corporate Fundraising Manager and a Fundraising Assistant. We are now looking to create new fundraising pathways that generate unrestricted income for the charity, and amongst them, we are looking to get a closer insight into the feasibility of a Legacy and In Memoriam Fundraising Programme. In this pursuit, we would like to recruit a professional volunteer to undertake benchmarking and feasibility studies that could inform our decision making in developing a Legacy & In-Memoriam Fundraising Strategy and business plan.
